Adventure is a subjective reference.  What may be a day’s outing, riding in the mountains to some might be a grueling epic for others.  As one of the world’s top pro cyclists endeared to me, “You must remain strong in the head.”

Adventure appeals to me enormously. Whether it be multi-pitch climbing in the Great Womb (Yosemite), or heading out on a single track that requires you to dodge swiftly between nopal, rattlesnakes or less than happy cattle.

Adventure is that part of the spirit that seeks more than just physical challenge. It is also the engagement and awakening of one’s mind and emotions to welcome the experience, no matter how daunting.

That being said - most of these images were produced under very minimal duress.  Perhaps I was slightly hoarse from yelling desperately and repeatedly for the athlete to stop moving so fast. Engage & enjoy!
